The Healing Cross of Westchester Chapel
You may have noticed in the picture of the cross behind the Rath family. Two of our members at Westchester Chapel built this as part of our Easter celebrations. We invited them to briefly explain what led them to build this cross and how it was used to lead us closer to our Creator. Here's what they had to say:
At Westchester Chapel, our act of faith was to invite God to help nail any spiritual burdens that ail us. The Bible says “God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations that were against us and that stood opposed to us.” (Colossians 2:14) Although James’ illness is against him, our faithful Lord will not leave His child alone and defenseless. He has many brothers and sisters in Christ fervently praying and fasting for his healing.
The Bible says that the “Lord took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. (Colossians 2:15) Because of this glorious promise that God has given us, friends at Westchester Chapel have proclaimed our faith in the Lord’s healing by nailing our prayers onto the wooden cross. We have faith that the Lord will deliver James from this trial and make him victorious!!!
In God’s Love,
